Neutron monitor data 1995-1996, and during the solar event of 3-9 November 1997

Below are shown hourly corrected cosmic ray plots from the Oulu and Thule high-latitude neutron monitors from the beginning of 1995 until the end of 1996. These data have been retrieved from the NOAA/NASA SPIDR system. Data for 1997 will be online in that server soon. The vertical cut-off rigidity for both Oulu and Thule stations is <1 GV. Note the clear ~27-day variation, particularly in 1996, in both of the data sets.

The large solar event of 3-9 November 1997 was also seen by several neutron monitors. Preliminary data from Moscow, Tixie Bay, and Apatity stations have been provided to us by the IZMIRAN Cosmic Ray Department in Moscow, and are included in the TEC-EES Solar Energetic Proton Events WWW page.
