Daily eight 3-hourly Kp Indices

The eight 3-hourly Kp indices from the Fredericksburg (mid-latitude) and Anchorage (high-latitude) stations, which monitor the Earth's magnetic field.

The Kp indices range from 0 (very quiet) to 9 (extremely disturbed).

The K index is a 3-hourly quasi-logarithmic local index of geomagnetic activity relative to an assumed quiet-day curve for the recording site. The K index measures the deviation of the most disturbed horizontal component of the magnetic field.
