ud328 - evaluate the second derivative of B

subroutine  ud328(mgp, sderv, ifail)

Parameters:

• mgp [zgeo,in] :: geographic position

• sderv [real8,out] :: second derivative

• ifail [integer4,out] :: error flag (see Diagnostics)

Description

The subroutine ud328() computes at the geocentric location mgp the value of

\(-\frac{\partial^2 B}{\partial s^2}\frac{1}{B}\)

where s is the arc length along the magnetic field line passing through the position mgp, and B is the magnetic field intensity.

• The subroutine UD328 does not exist in version 1.05 and earlier.
