SREM is a particle detector, developed for space applications. It measures high energy electrons and protons with a fair angular and spectral resolution and provides the host spacecraft with radiation information.  SREMs have been launched on several satellites: Strv-1c, Proba-1IntegralRosettaGIOVE-BHerschelPlanck, and additional missions are to follow. SREM is the successor of the Radiation Environment Monitor REM.

SREM was developed and manufactured by oerlikon space in cooperation with Paul Scherrer Institute under a development contract of the European Space Agency.

Data from the instrument is available from the SREM PSI site.
