HST - SOLAR CELL IMAGE DATA

Post-Flight Analysis 1
PFA 1 uses the -V2 wing and the MLI parts retrieved during the first HST servicing mission in December 1993. The +V2 wing is missing because of a damage to one of the bi-stem booms, which prevented the wing from being rolled-up into its cassette. Due to the severe time constraints on the HST repair mission and the importance of the repair of the telescope optics, the damaged wing was released by one of the astronauts to burn-up in the atmosphere.

Post-Flight Analysis 2
PFA 2 uses both -V2 and +V2 wings, deployed by the Space Shuttle Endevour on December 4th 1993 and retrieved by Space Shuttle Columbia on March 3rd 2002.
